  • Where the ghetto used to be

    During the period between the two World Wars Warsaw was the biggest conglomeration of Jewish population in the world. In 1939 it was inhabited by 375,000 Jews.During WWII Warsaw Jews were practically all murdered and Jewish districts turned into piles of debris.This route will take you through the former Warsaw ghetto. You will see the preserved pieces of the ghetto wall, monuments of the heroes of the Ghetto Uprising as well as places devoted to the modern Jewish culture, such as the Jewish Theatre or the synagogue.
